The Positive Side of 'Putting in the Work'

The human body is a remarkable piece of machinery and one that should be respected. I hope to encourage you to put time into your minds and bodies.


The body can take a great deal of abuse and we've all walked that line in putting it through the ringer, however, it also can break and sometimes is not repairable.

I have seen miraculous things happen with the human body; in weight loss, muscle gain, replenishing energy, fighting depression and in some cases coming back from the brink of physical disaster.

The body wants to do more than just survive.... It wants to thrive.

The human body is meant to be a well oiled machine and it is up to us to help it continue in it's given course.


There are many thoughts on how to achieve full body transformation when putting the work in. Many people argue that dieting should be primary. Others stand by cardiovascular training before weight training. Some stand by intermittent fasting. There are countless opinions on what to do first.

Here's my humble opinion from years of watching body transformation. Do a little of everything and mix it up. Keep your body guessing. Matter of fact, here is a primary action for you, get in the gym with a coach or a designated work out regime and follow a solid plan day by day.

Choose to do a little of everything. Weight training one day, cardiovascular training the next and keep your overall eating in a form that will aid your energy. One is not better than the other, they all work together.



Below are a number of reasons you should start working out today:


  1. Boost Happiness Levels - Whether we’re fully conscious of it or not, we’re always looking for how to be happy. And exercise is one of the most obvious steps to take, as it’s not a coincidence that you feel better after a good workout: It’s science.


  1. Sleep Better - By strengthening circadian rhythms, exercising can help keep you more bright-eyed during the day and bring on sleep at night. It also promotes better quality sleep.


  1. Perform better at work - Could the key to being more productive and happier at work lie in exercise? One study thinks so. It found that those employees who worked out before work or during their lunch hour reported feeling less stress and being happier and more productive than days when they skipped a workout.

  2. Live longer - Keeping your body happy and healthy to help you live a longer, fuller life is one of exercise’s biggest benefits.



The list goes on and on and I could wax eloquent on change all day. I challenge you to put in the work for a stronger reason than just losing weight.

Challenge your balance and start thinking about all the amazing things you gain through the challenge of training hard and getting into the gym.


Beginning this journey will rank as one of the top in your life . It includes you and everyone in your family. There's no losing in this particular game. Its a win win all the way.
