Why Drink Warm Lemon Water?

As I sit here this evening enjoying my lemon infused water it dawned on me that most of us have heard about drinking lemon and water but never know exactly why we're drinking the mixture. Tonight I thought I'd help answer the 'why' of it all.

It also occurred to me that perhaps it doesn't just stop at lemon and water but with many supplements and foods that we consume. We don't know 'why' we take in certain things. I encourage you to always answer the 'why' before you simply adapt a new routine. I drink lemon water daily because of the benefits that I have experienced from the list below.

Perhaps you'll find a desire to try it as well.

 

Here is a basic guideline for when to drink lemon water:

While it is fine to drink lemon water at any hour of the day, try a glass a half hour before breakfast; the lemon juice will help your body absorb your breakfast nutrients better.  Also,  try and drink the lemon water through a straw as it is better for the enamel on your teeth.

 

How to make lemon water:

Ingredients-

1/2 lemon

1/4 cup cold water

1/3 cup boiling water

**They've added both temperatures to create a room temperature water. Cold lemon water can shock the system.

Directions-

  1. Squeeze lemon juice into a glass; discard seeds if necessary. Add water, stir and drink while warm.

 

Here are some amazing benefits of drinking warm lemon water daily:

 

-Aid your metabolism

Being a powerful antioxidant, lemon can protect your body from various free radicals and also strengthen your immune system.

-Balances pH/Alkalize yourself

Lemon water allows your body to keep a  your body fight off diseases. higher pH level, helping

-Revitalize your skin

Lemons contain vitamin C. This is known to improve skin conditions through the revitalizing of the body.

-Reduce depression and anxiety symptoms

Lemon water has a high potassium content. Depression and anxiety are often linked to not having enough potassium in your blood.

-Joint healing

Lemon water can help reduce both joint and muscle pain.

-Better digestion

Drinking warm lemon water can help your body with digestion thanks to the citric acid contained in lemon.

-Cleanse

Lemon water can help cleanse your blood and arteries.

-Relieve heartburn

Mixing a teaspoon of lemon juice per half glass of water can help relieve heartburn.

 

 

All in all adding lemon to your water can do wonderful things for your body. Almost every eating plan I have seen written by nutritionists and herbologists start each morning with a warm glass of lemon water.

If so many doctors and nutritionists have seen a noticeable change in their bodies and their clients bodies, perhaps trying a daily glass of warm lemon water won't be so bad.

Why not give it a try and see if it helps your body as well.
