Born in Evaston, IL, Cat Beach spent most of her formative years in Charlottesville, VA.
After schooling in New England, Cat made a decision to move down to the sunshine State of Florida. That particular time in her life was incredibly challenging and she gained over 85 lbs. to a max weight of 220lbs.
It was by chance one day Cat met fitness trainer Sue Moon. Sue inspired Cat with the possibility of getting back her body the way she wanted it to be, to lose weight and be fit. Cat took a leap of faith and hired Sue to personally train her to lose weight and teach her how to be fit. Cat refers to Sue as her “life saver”.
Sue was and is Cat’s fitness mentor and great friend. She trained with Sue Moon for a year and a half and redesigned her life. Dropping over 85 lbs Cat finally saw her life from a balanced perspective.
From this point forward Cat made it her job to help others do the same, always speaking up about change. For many she was affectionately called ‘The voice of change’.
After relocating to Miami, Cat received a degree in Journalism and at the same time she
certified as a personal trainer with International Fitness Professionals Association to forward her knowledge in physical fitness.
After she began training with her then coach Garrett McGowan, she managed the exclusive Sea View Hotel fitness center in Bal Harbor, Florida. Garrett who was not only her coach but he specialized in ‘Fitness over 50yrs.’
Shortly there after she left The Sea View Hotel and opened her own fitness center ‘Beach Fitness’ in the heart of North Miami Beach. It was there she chose to focus on helping people ‘Change a toxic lifestyle’ and those suffering with ‘obesity’. Beach Fitness was rated Top 10 Fitness Centers in South Florida.
Through years of specializing in training men and woman who suffer with obesity and morbid obesity, Cat and her colleague Chauncey Williams created the ‘Real Deal Body Change’, an all inclusive body transformation program launched at Beach fitness and also at her second center ‘Harbor Fitness’.
During this time Cat and Chauncey also created and produced an instructional video ‘Personal Trainers on Tape’, targeting people who were afraid to go in the gym due to lack of knowledge and self confidence.
Understanding the attachment of the brain and mind to the body is what made the difference in client success.
