Bio
1,087Many bios are written from the third person but I’ve decided that this time I’m going to write from my first person perspective.
I’ve lived and am living a rather extraordinary life. The journey has taken me on some rather interesting paths. They’ve all led me to where I am today and I’m proud to be standing here with all my scars – emotional and physical. Each one counts for a lesson that I’m glad to have learned.
A friend once told me that life was a series of chapters that we must navigate and find our way through. It would be foolish to start with the last chapter first. It ruins all the fun, he said, all the good juicy stuff that makes up a FULL life. He was right. Each chapter has had it’s own set of hurdles to pass over, walls to climb, gentle paths to enjoy for the brief moments that they would appear.
From the many chapters of my life I have created an in-depth thought proving introspective yet sassy album: ‘Love Me Out Loud.’
Chapter 1 musical theater, vocalist & dancer
Chapter 2 classical drama & vocalist
Chapter 3 LOST
Chapter 4 body transformation
Chapter 5 fitness world/ body building
Chapter 6 LOST/ PANIC
Chapter 7 Media/writer
Chapter 8 voice over professional
Chapter 9 singer/ songwriter
Chapter 10 singer songwriter / producer
Chapter 11 THE ALBUM ‘Love Me Out Loud’
You see it appears that I had my GIVEN ROAD all figured out when I was younger.
You see in chapter 1, I was a performer as a young girl into my adolescent years, and right into my early twenties. Nothing could stop me! I thought it was going to be a ‘’paint by numbers’ experience – Boy was I wrong!.
I was missing something valuable – LIFE! The real stuff. I lived in a rather controlled theatrical land and when the bottom fell out, as it usually does, I found that I wanted to BURN UP THE YEARS as you see in Chapter 6. But I stayed true to the experiences that come from falling on your face and learning how to fight.
My inner guttural reaction said ”pick yourself up girl“, but it was and can sometimes still be a scary experience, into the unknown.
Especially when the other sides of your mind say, “run for the exit don’t walk!“ It was wiser to face the demons head on and find the courage deep inside to fight, and fight I did.
The moments that happen when you step out of your controlled box and get really dirty facing personal issues are never easy.
As a matter of fact – facing my demons brought on horrible panic. It was NOT comfortable to feel the pressure of trying on A WHOLE NEW ME but it was worth every minute.
I learned that I’m not so HARD TO LOVE! I learned to LOVE MYSELF OUT LOUD, and that sometimes you just have to RISK IT to make life happen.
I’ve learned that doing what you truly love and following YOUR GIVEN ROAD is a path laced with jagged edges. I know what it means to be at the MERCY OF SOMEONE’S HANDS, and I believe in STANDING UP for what you believe. It’s all worth every step you take towards YOU.
The best part of the journey thus far is that I’m learning WHAT LOVE’S ALL ABOUT!
And now, on to the next chapter…
My wish for you… Live the journey … Get dirty … fight the good fight and have courage to stand up for what YOU believe in.
When you listen to the songs on ‘Love Me Out Loud” – don’t be afraid to sit by yourself and experience the lyrics and music. I believe everyone of us feels what I’ve chosen to put into music, men and woman alike.
‘Love Me Out Loud” isn’t for ME it’s for everyone of YOU.
Choose to be courageous enough to step outside of your comfort zone, look inside and listen.
All My Best to you and Yours,
Cat Beach
